Real differences for real lives
At the Together Trust we believe everybody deserves an equal chance in life. There are no exceptions. We provide a wide range of support services including fostering, residential, community and family support. We also provide specialist educational support through our schools and college.
Do you have art skills that you could share with our disabled students? We would love help from an enthusiastic friendly person in our art sessions!
No experience of teaching or supporting disabled people is necessary. As long as you're available during college hours, have skills in art, and a supportive attitude, you'll fit right in!
Why we want you:
At Bridge College in Openshaw we offer specialist Further Education to students aged 16 to 25 with disabilities, complex health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism, getting them ready for a happy, fulfilled adulthood.
Our teachers lead art classes, but our students would really benefit from extra insights and knowledge to help them fulfil the activities. All our students have support workers to help them access the class and college facilities.
What you will be doing:
- Offering one-to-one guidance in class to help students improve their art skills
- The skills you need
- Skills and knowledge of different art techniques
What's in it for you:
- Great experience to add to your CV
- Being part of a really friendly team and vibrant atmosphere
- Feel-good factor of making a real difference to some amazing young people!
