Age UK Trafford is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for 50 years. We have 25 dedicated staff and over 50 volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in Trafford.
A Memory Loss Advice Administrator would work closely with our Memory Loss Advice team. This would be a compassionate support figure for individuals experiencing memory loss, dementia, or cognitive impairments. This role involves answering calls from these individuals and their caregivers. Note: this is not an advisory role.
Responsibilities include:
1. Call Reception: answer calls from individuals with memory loss or their careers.
2. Listening and Empathy: offer a compassionate and sympathetic ear, listening to the concerns and anxieties of callers without giving specific advice.
3. Information Gathering: collect essential information including contact details, nature of the query, and specific needs of the caller.
4. Referral: identify appropriate advisors based on the caller's needs and establish a call-back time.
Applicants need to be compassionate and empathetic individuals with impeccable listening and communication skills. Must be efficient at record-keeping and team collaboration.
