W.E.L.Safe CIC is a not for profit organisation providing confidential and non-judgemental support and guidance around issues such as drugs and alcohol, mental health and wellbeing and sexual health at festival and events across the UK and overseas.
Volunteers will offer support to people who are attending the event, who may need a space to recouperate, relax and chat in confidential space away from the full impact of the night.
Our aim is to enable service users to stay safe in the night time economy and to offer support to people who may be experiencing problems as a result of their use of drugs and/or alcohol, as well as helping to reduce harm and risk taking behavior and safeguarding support for each individual and into the wider society. .

We work to a harm reduction model in drugs&alcohol, spiking, sexual health, mental health and well-being. We provide a safe space for all.
W.E.L.Safe CIC provides welfare at Manchesters very own Warehouse Project, The Albert Hall, Six Trees Kitchen and O2 Victoria Warehouse plus more festivals and events throughout the year at various locations across Manchester, the Uk and even abroad such as Croatia (hideout, Dimensions) and Austria (Snowbombing)
W.E.L.Safe will be delivering welfare, ensuring event goers are staying safe and enjoying their experience, by offering a place to chill out and relax, recuperate if under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, get guidance and information around harm reduction, support with mental health at events, a safe space if people are feeling vulnerable and being able to chat with a friendly non-judgemental face.
Responsibilities
* Support vulnerable people who may need additional support as a result of taking too much alcohol and/or drugs.
* Support people who may be experiencing anxiety
* Help create a safe space for all
* Be non-judgemental, the welfare area is a safe space.
* Work as part of a team
About You
* Must have good communication skills, be patient and be able to work in a non-judgemental way.
* Respect confidentiality.
* Be reliable and punctual.
* All volunteers must complete at least one full training event.
