Kidscan is a charity based in Greater Manchester that funds vital research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer. We are building a world where every child with cancer not only survives but thrives.
Charity Fundraising collections at shopping centres, supermarkets, town centres, sporting events etc. can make a significant difference to Kidscan's income as well as improve our profile and visibility, which can lead to further successes.
Collections are also a useful way for other volunteers to get involved in useful fundraising that turns their efforts and time into vital research funds.
This role will be the bedrock upon which this is built as it will enable Kidscan to apply for and carry out more collections than we currently do.
Full orientation will be provided as to the different types of collections and venues, some familiarity with Microsoft office or similar would be useful.
This role help you gain insights into fundraising and a wide variety of other organisations processes (local authorities, large companies, public bodies) whilst making a practical contribution to Kidscan's mission.
This regular role is for 3 to 4 hours during the daytime (9-5 Monday to Friday) each week at the Kidscan Fundraising Office over at Salford Uni., the hours depending on when you are available, once established there may be some scope to work remotely if needed.
There is potential for more than one person to carry out this role to enable faster growth of the fundraising collections part of Kidscan's fundraising mix.
