The British Muslim Heritage Centre (BMHC), located in Whalley Range, promotes community cohesion in partnership with public, private and voluntary sectors by bringing people and communities from all faiths and non-faith to develop a better understanding between communities. We are looking for passionate students who can bring a vast range of inputs to our organisation. These include youth leadership, tackling health inequalities, media, business, women leadership and policy development. Some positions can be done remotely.
Roles:
1. Graphic Designers
2. Organising workshops, seminars and webinars.
3. Taking notes, organising project meetings and writing summary reports.
4. Fundraising projects by writing and submitting applications to public, voluntary and private institutions.
The Heritage Centre is looking to take on Volunteers for our Media Department
there are a number of opportunities available, including social media, video production, radio presenting.
We have a film studio on site with professional equipment, cameras, lights etc. We are looking to bring in volunteers who are interested in film and media but also about social issues and causes, we are planning on producing content which focuses on homelessness, addiction, discrimination, racial injustice etc.
This is an ideal opportunity for students who would like to gain experience with film and media as they can build on their portfolio whilst being associated with one of the UK's leading charities, but also for those students who are interested in social issues and the charity sector.
