Project Malawi - education in Africa
*Please note this role is only available for students of Computer Science.
Students will be volunteering through the School of Computer Science with RIPPLE Africa on community teaching projects in Malawi. You will be teaching Computer Science in local schools, to both children and teachers, working alongside volunteers from RIPPLE.
We would like a commitment made before 10th December 2018. There will be a number of meetings to attend for planning, and general administrative duties. You would need to be willing to maintain regular contact with the Administrator and respond to enquiries promptly about your travel requirements, appointments for injections, and fundraising updates. There is some financial assistance from the School.
You will be expected to fundraise and lots of support will be provided through the School and University for you to achieve your target. Last year we held bake sales, quiz nights, a raffle for donated goods, and taught at local School events.
We would expect you to commit to going for 2 weeks during June
