City of Trees is an innovative and exciting movement set to re-invigorate Greater Manchester’s landscape by transforming underused, unloved woodland and planting a tree for every man, woman and child who lives there, within a generation.
A City of Trees will mean great things for Greater Manchester and you can help to make it happen.
Join our Trafford Citizen Forester group and help to improve your local green spaces for both wildlife and users!
Meet like-minded people, learn about your local environment and gain practical skills.
Whether you give 1 day, 1 hour or 1 week, by becoming a Citizen Forester, you're spreading the word about the City of Trees movement and helping us to achieve our vision of bringing more woodland back into positive management across Greater Manchester.
On the 19th February, we will be doing habitat management and site maintenance at Urmston Meadows.
Sessions take place 10am - 2pm; gloves, tools and equipment provided. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Light refreshments are provided.
Meeting point: Urmston Meadows, Riverside Dr, Urmston, Manchester M41 9FN
