Description of role: Spend a lovely afternoon at St Cuthbert's Church serving tea and coffee as well as chatting and playing board games and card games with elderly people. This is a lovely opportunity to spend an afternoon helping combat loneliness and getting to know some lovely people from the community.
☕ When and where is the Volunteer Day?
This volunteering activity will take place on Monday 19 October, from 1:30pm to 4pm. It will be happening at St Cuthbert's Church 3 Palatine Rd, Withington, Manchester M20 3LH.
☕ What will you be doing?
Activities will include:
- Helping set up the hall for the event, including moving tables and chairs
- Serving tea, coffee and biscuits to the attendees
- Playing board/ card games with the attendees
- Making conversation with the attendees, getting to know them and making them feel comfortable
