Description of role: About the role

Help Jak’s World create clear, welcoming information about our activities and support. This is a practical role for someone who enjoys design, writing or updating digital content and can follow a brief through to completion.

What you could do

Update website pages with approved information about activities, events and services

Design posters, flyers and social media graphics

Help create welcome packs for people accessing our support

Design fundraising packs and other resources for supporters and community events

Check materials for spelling, clarity and accessibility

Organise draft materials so the team can find and reuse them

We’ll agree on specific tasks based on your skills and the charity’s current priorities.

Who we’re looking for

You may be studying design, IT, marketing or communications. You might have experience in administration or have created materials for another charity or community group. Formal qualifications are not required, but you should be able to show us examples of relevant work.

You’ll need to be reliable, pay attention to detail, respond to feedback and let your supervisor know what time you can regularly commit. You should be comfortable working with sensitive subjects in a respectful way.
