Organisation Description: Soul Sisters: Empowering People is a grassroots charity supporting people affected by domestic abuse. We provide emotional support, peer mentoring, and advocacy, as well as community projects that empower individuals from diverse backgrounds. Our volunteers play a vital role in delivering one-to-one support, running creative and educational activities, and helping us organise events that raise awareness and build stronger, safer communities.

Description of role: ● Offering emotional support to survivors before, during, and after court hearings.
● Providing practical information about the family court process (not legal advice).
● Assisting survivors with paperwork, court forms, and organising relevant documents.
● Supporting communication between the survivor and court professionals where appropriate.
● Attending hearings (in-person or remotely) with survivors, taking notes where necessary.
● Maintaining accurate and confidential case records.
● Liaising with Soul Sisters staff to ensure appropriate follow-up and safeguarding procedures are in place.
