Student Community Resilience Volunteer

Organisation Details
The University of Manchester
Sub theme: Environment
Stellify Award: This opportunity is part of 'Make a Difference'
Organisation Description: The Student Community Resilience Volunteer (SCRV) group at University of Manchester aims to give student populations the opportunity to become valuable response support during an emergency. We are partnered with Salford CVS for both training resources and leading response.
The SCRV Programme was created and developed by 5 students from UoM. Their research and design was supported by recommendations from Professor Duncan Shaw, the Greater Manchester Resilience Forum (GMRF), other voluntary agencies and SafeZone. Following volunteer work during COVID-19, it was recognised that students hold great potential to aid the communal recovery within our city when emergencies occur.
Joining the SCRV is a great opportunity to become a registered volunteer, get enrolled on free training courses (such as First Aid) and support our community.
