We are looking for volunteers to help raise awareness and generate support for our community programmes through fundraising activities, campaigns and outreach. This is a flexible opportunity for someone who enjoys communicating with people, sharing ideas and helping turn a campaign into meaningful support.

Our programmes support children, young people, adults, older people and families through education, employability, health and wellbeing, poverty relief, youth development, social inclusion and community-based activities.
The Role
Join our team to support fundraising events, campaigns and outreach activities that generate resources for our programmes.
You’ll help prepare and deliver fundraising activities, promote campaigns, engage supporters and contribute to events that support our work and mission.
The opportunity includes a mixture of office-based preparation, online campaign support and practical involvement at community and fundraising events. The activities you are involved in will depend on what we have planned and will be agreed with you in advance.
What you could be involved in
Your tasks may vary by campaign, event, or activity. You might help with:
- Fundraising: Supporting appeals, donation drives, sponsored activities and other agreed fundraising initiatives
- Campaigns: Assist with planning campaigns, preparing materials, sharing content online and supporting advocacy work.
- Outreach: Build relationships with local communities, schools, businesses and organisations.
- Events: Help organise and run fundraising events, community activities, stalls and awareness-raising activities.
- Communications: Share information about our work through social media, community networks and face-to-face engagement.
Skills and qualities
You do not need previous fundraising or events experience. We are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, approachable and comfortable engaging with people from diverse backgrounds
- Communicates clearly and respectfully
- Is reliable and turns up for agreed sessions or events
- Enjoys working as part of a team
We value lived experience and local knowledge, alongside any skills you may already have.

Time commitment
Around 4–8 hours per week, with flexibility based on your availability. Some activities may take place during evenings or weekends.
Location
This is a hybrid role. Some activities can be completed remotely, while others will take place in person at community venues across Greater Manchester.
