Organisation Description: With an emphasis on relieving poverty, promoting health & wellbeing and advancing skills & learning, Northmoor Community Association provides inter-generational and multi-cultural activities, as well as accessible and welcoming community facilities for all.

Incorporating its own IT suite, café / kitchen, classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, Northmoor Community Association hosts a wide program of activities and opportunities for people to learn new skills and further themselves in a way that reflects their own aspirations and those of the community.

From learning how to cook, to accessing a wide range of free online computer courses, from planting seeds to getting fit, there is something for anyone and everyone to become involved in.
Description of role: Northmoor Community Association is a charity based in Longsight, we aim to relieve poverty, promote health & wellbeing, advance skills & learning and enhance the quality of life for the people who engage with us and use our services.

We need help with spreading information on local activities and services to the local community and improving communication. We have previously done leafleting and door-knocking and are interested in continuing this as well as finding different methods to improve our outreach. eg. improving our graphics, finding different ways to engage with local community and using different channels of communication.

Skills needed: Creative, good communication skills,
Skills desired: Previous experience in local outreach and publicity, can also speak Urdu or Punjabi or Hindi or Bangla as well as English.

We will provide an induction to the roles and we can work together on finding hours that work best for all of us however the community center is closed on weekends.
