Organisation Description: With an emphasis on relieving poverty, promoting health & wellbeing and advancing skills & learning, Northmoor Community Association provides inter-generational and multi-cultural activities, as well as accessible and welcoming community facilities for all.

Incorporating its own IT suite, café / kitchen, classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, Northmoor Community Association hosts a wide program of activities and opportunities for people to learn new skills and further themselves in a way that reflects their own aspirations and those of the community.

From learning how to cook, to accessing a wide range of free online computer courses, from planting seeds to getting fit, there is something for anyone and everyone to become involved in.
Description of role: Northmoor Community Association is a charity based in Longsight, we aim to relieve poverty, promote health & wellbeing, advance skills & learning and enhance the quality of life for the people who engage with us and use our services.

On the 18th of July we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Community center and would love for the whole community to be involved and see what we do.

Flexibly from now up until the 18th, we need help with leafletting, door-knocking and asking locals about what they would like to see in the area and how we can help.
Skills needed: Confident with talking to people and being respectful. Physically able to be active for at least an hour before a break.
Skills desired: Can also speak Urdu or Punjabi or Hindi or Bangla/Bengali as well as English.

We will provide an induction to the roles and we can work together on finding hours that work best for all of us.

You will be paid out-of-pocket expenses such as bus fares.
