Manchester Pride Parade

Organisation Details
Macmillan Cancer Support - Manchester
Sub theme: LGBT+
Stellify Award: This opportunity is part of 'Make a Difference'
Organisation Description: We want to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same.
There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to 4 million by 2030. We want to make sure we can provide support to everyone who needs it, to help people affected by cancer feel more in control of their lives.
It’s a big task and we can’t do it alone. But there are lots of ways you can get involved and help us achieve our goal, from fundraising, to volunteering and campaigning. Together we are all Macmillan.

Description of role: Join Macmillan Cancer Support at the Manchester Pride Parade on Saturday 29 August 2026
This year, Manchester Pride returns to the heart of the community with the theme No Place Like Home - a celebration of belonging, found family, courage, and pride. Inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the 2026 parade will bring the spirit of the Yellow Brick Road, Emerald City magic, and iconic characters to life, while celebrating what “home” means to each of us.
The Manchester Pride Parade is one of the city’s biggest and most vibrant celebrations, bringing together tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies to march through the streets in support of equality, visibility, and inclusion.
With colourful performances, music, creativity, and incredible energy throughout the city, it’s always an unforgettable event to be part of.
Join Team Macmillan as we celebrate pride, community, and the power of feeling at home together.
