Organisation Description: For everyone living with complex disabilities. For everyone who is deafblind. Sense is here to help people communicate and experience the world. We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
Description of role: Decathlon is partnering with Sense to host its popular RunDays event in Stockport on 21st June, offering families a full day of active fun and community spirit. Central to the event is a 5K route designed to welcome runners of all ages and abilities.
The event promises a lively atmosphere, with a range of family-friendly activities and entertainment available throughout the day.
The role.
We are looking for volunteers to support with a range of activities throughout the day
including:
• Registration/Finish Line Assistance
• Course Marshals
• Fundraising Support
• Set up and Pack Down
• Accessibility & Inclusion Support
Volunteers play a vital role in bringing energy, safety, and inclusivity to the event. Your support will help ensure a positive and memorable experience for everyone involved.
Timings
We are looking for volunteers to support between 8am and 2pm, with timings for the day
as followed:
8am – Volunteer Arrival and set up
8:30am – Registration opens
10am – Event begins
12pm – Event finish
12pm – 2pm - Closing up and packing down for the day.
If you cannot make it for the whole event, we would still love to hear from you! Please let us know if you are only available for part of the day.
