Stellify Award: This opportunity is part of 'Make a Difference'
Organisation Description: We provide emergency 3-day food parcels to people in crisis in Manchester. In addition to providing food, we also offer a signposting service, in order to inform people about services that can provide them with specialist support with the issues that they may be facing and wanting to overcome. Whilst we recognise that a food parcel can help with the short-term issue of hunger, signposting people onto other forms of support such as advice, grants and additional support organisations can go further in terms of alleviating the circumstances that have led the client to need to access the foodbank in the first place.
Description of role: We need desperately volunteers to help out at supermarket donation drives. The donation drives will take place at supermarkets in Manchester on an ad hoc basis. I will email you regarding the time and location to see if you are available.
