Organisation Description: Purpose
Volunteers will support the Visitor Experience and Communities Teams during the delivery of half-term activities at the Museum, working alongside staff to enhance visitor engagement in planned activity areas. The volunteer role will support staff with the setup, delivery and clear up of planned activities. Providing additional support and engagement to participants to ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Please note this is a one-week opportunity for February half-term, but there may be further opportunities to get involved again with future volunteering roles.

Description of role: The National Football Museum is looking for friendly, hands‑on volunteers to help deliver our Trophies & Tournaments family programme from 23–31 May 2026. This nine‑day event brings football’s greatest competitions to life through creative activities, games, and interactive challenges across the museum.
About the Role
As a Family Activities Volunteer, you’ll support a range of fun, football‑themed stations, helping families get involved, learn something new, and enjoy their visit. Tasks may include:
Object Handling & Quizzes – showing replica trophies, asking football‑themed questions, and helping run our “spin the wheel” quiz
Interactive Games – supporting fast‑paced Sub‑Soccer matches or creative play in the Discovery Zone
Craft Activities – helping children make their own finger‑football characters
Café Engagement – running our hourly Bingo Baller quiz and gathering quick visitor feedback
Museum‑Wide Support – assisting with trails, sensory activities, and general visitor engagement
Who We’re Looking For
Confident communicators who enjoy working with families, children, and creative or football‑themed activities. No experience needed - full briefing provided.
