Organisation Description: Revive provides free integrated support and services for refugees and people seeking asylum in the Greater Manchester area, enabling them to integrate and participate in their new community.
Our vision is to provide high quality services to help refugees and people seeking asylum on their journey of recovery and growth. As Revive is a charity, we rely on donations of money and resources to run all our services.
We are looking for people to volunteer as caseworkers, admin assistants, translators, immigration/accommodation advisors, peer mentors, befrienders and fundraisers. We are so grateful for all our volunteers who keep Revive running.

Description of role: Volunteer Role- Communications and Social Media Assistant
The role of the Communications and social media volunteer is to contribute to raising Revive’s digital presence, and share all of the fantastic work that we are doing with the wider community. The digital world is becoming an increasingly important platform on which to share news and raise awareness, and Revive is looking to respond to this.
The ideal volunteer would have some experience in managing social media and using blog programmes, such as wordpress.
Role Description :
• Monitor and update Twitter, Instagram,Facebook, Tiktok and Youtube channels
• Edit website and use initiative to make improvements to layout
• Contribute to strategising, for increasing digital following
• Raise awareness of Revive and refugee issues through our various digital platforms
• Contribute to writing newsletters
• Contribute to writing annual report
• Attend events and conferences, take photos and write reports
• Work with Revive staff to share positive stories and important news relating to the organisation
• Maintain relationship with local media and partner organisations
Other responsibilities:
• Funding will be raised through a crowdfunding campaign in 2019 and beyond. This role is to help build up the numbers of followers to support the initiative.

• The theme is centred on creating something FUN, meaningful and engaging. Specific outcomes that need to be achieved are;
• Increased sign up rates to FunDonor’s pop up/ call to action on the website.
• Increased engagement on FunDonor’s Facebook page and being able to generate more page likes.
• Increased engagement on Instagram, maximise the number of followers. Seeking to hit minimum 20K followers before crowdfund launch.
• Increased engagement on Twitter, engage with influencers and maximise Retweet followers. Also seeking minimum 20K followers before crowdfund launch.
• Increase engagement on LinkedIn page.
• Contribute towards growing FunDonor’s YouTube presence and subscriptions.
• Able to engage with celebrity clients to support the initiative. An ability to create video/ animation content a bonus.
• Able to reflect the FUN theme in all social media engagement.
Good communication and negotiating skills are essential. Applicants should possess the ability to see the lighter side of life. A FUN attitude is a must. Ask yourself this question. When engaging, can you project a smile in your communication, even when speaking to someone? Do you have a smile in your voice? If yes, we certainly want you on board.
Volunteers also have the option to become ambassadors.
