Description of role: Cheer point volunteer for the Manchester Marathon, cheering on The Christie Charity runners taking on the Manchester Marathon. The Christie Charity has a dedicated cheer point en route where we will be stationed with a steel band, and cheering items, Christie t-shirts and Christie branding, to cheer on runners wearing Christie t-shirts. You will be required to travel to the cheer point using public transport (a short walk from the Navigation Road tram stop) as road closures will be in place. You will be outdoors, and on your feet for the duration, so sensible clothing for the weather on the day, and sensible footwear is required.
