Description of role: Want to help tackle food poverty in Manchester? Join us for a Volunteer Day with Manchester Central Foodbank, supporting their vital work through a sorting session.
🥫 What will you be doing?
You’ll be supporting the foodbank team by:
- Sorting and organising donated food items
- Checking expiry dates and ensuring items meet distribution guidelines
- Packing and preparing stock ready for delivery to foodbank centres
🥫 When and where?
This Volunteer Day will take place on Thursday 26 February, from 1pm to 3pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Butler Street, Ancoats, M4 7JE.
This venue can be reached from city centre via the 76 and 76A buses.
Please ensure you arrive a few minutes early so we can begin promptly.
🥫 What should you wear?
Please wear comfortable, casual clothing and closed-toe shoes/trainers suitable for light lifting and warehouse work.
