Organisation Description: Levenshulme Inspire is a community-led organisation which brings together people from many backgrounds to transform our area through community activity, creativity, enterprise and fun. Examples of groups are our parent led groups such as local vocals, chat and play, tots tales and story time, our workshops such as fix it up aiming to provide new skills and our partnerships with the Taskforce which supports sessions for the elderly. All our groups are aimed at bringing together specific demographics among the community for connection, well-being and supporting those most vulnerable in society.
Description of role: Volunteer at events, screenings and canvessing in the local area. Engage men in the local community to get to know them,improve social isolation and refer them to relevant mental and physical health services. This is a great opportunity for anyone that wants to develop a range of personal and professional skills, gain confidence
and provide joy and fulfillment to others whilst giving to their local community. You will be fully supported by the Inspire
team and fellow volunteers.
Volunteer times will be flexible and work around peoples availability. There will be different events and roles that people will be given the opportunity to do and volunteers won't necessarily have to do all of them.
