๐ Student Volunteering Week: Get Crafty for Hospitalised Children! ๐ - Tuesday 10th February

Organisation Details
University of Manchester Volunteering & Awards Team
Sub theme: Children, Hospitals and Hospices, Mental Health, Youth Work and Young People
Description of role: ๐Spread the Love This Student Volunteering Week ๐
As part of Student Volunteering Week, join us for a creative volunteering session where weโll be making cards and letters for children supported by Post Pals - a charity dedicated to bringing smiles to seriously ill children and their siblings aged 3โ17.
This will be a creative volunteering opportunity but requires minimal skills, so as long as you have a morning to spend colouring & drawing then you'll be able to get involved! You don't need to stay for the whole session, but please note we can only add whole numbers of hours to Volunteer Hub accounts.
Please check out their website at https://www.postpals.co.uk/ for more details - this is a great charity whose work helps with the emotional support of many unwell children and their siblings each year.
๐When and where:
- 10am-12pm (noon) at University Place, Room 4.204
๐What to bring:
- No need to bring anything, except perhaps a water bottle and some snacks
- However, you are welcome to bring your own craft stuff if there's anything you'd like to make or use!
๐After the session:
- We will take your cards and letters and send them to the children by post
- We will add your volunteering hours to Volunteer Hub so you can count them towards the Make a Difference part of the Stellify Award
Sign up below or email beth.carson@manchester.ac.uk with any queries. We hope to see you there!
