Description of role: ‘Volunteers needed to help run food bank for community centre in Moss Side/Whalley Range.
Q.Would you like to make a difference in your local community while you study?
Q. Are you interested in facilitating a much needed community food bank nearby the University by helping to collect and/or distribute food to those in need in the local community?
If yes volunteer for one of the roles below.
*Role 1*: Volunteers needed to collect food on Wednesday afternoons and/ or Thursday afternoons (flexible timings) from Altringham. And to drop food to The Chrysalis Family Centre in Whalley Range, Moss Side. Volunteers can avail of some of the food (which will be from organisations such as KFC and Nandos) and take it home for themselves as well as dropping the rest of the food to the Chrysalis Family Centre.
*Role 2*: Volunteers needed to help distribute food and clean up after on Fridays 9am to 11am at the Chrysalis Family Centre. Any left over food can be taken by volunteers.
