Description of role: The Night of Neon is a 5K walk around Salford Quays and MediaCityUK on Saturday 7th February, the event is held to mark World Cancer Day. We’re expecting over 1,000 participants to take part.

Cheerer:
This is such an important role, as it gives our amazing fundraisers the motivation they need as they complete their challenge. You’ll be part of a lively, enthusiastic team making plenty of noise, cheering, clapping, whooping, or even singing to encourage our walkers. You may also be asked to help hand out medals at the finish line. Approximate timings: 18:45pm–21:00pm.

Marshal:
Marshalling is essential to help participants navigate the route safely. You’ll be part of a friendly team directing walkers around MediaCity and Salford Quays while offering support and encouragement as they pass.
