Description of role: We’re looking for volunteers who like working with children, enjoy being active, and want to support community programs. You’ll help run activities, games, and creative sessions, and help make our space friendly and welcoming.
About the role
We run holiday club activities for children during school breaks as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF). As a volunteer, you’ll help make our sessions fun, safe, and engaging. You’ll support activities, encourage kids to join in, and help create a positive place where children can learn, play, and make friends. This is a great chance to get experience in education, youth work, or community programs.
Our next Holiday Club starts on 27 July 2026.
What you will be doing
● Helping set up and pack down activity spaces
● Assisting with games, creative sessions, sports and workshops
● Supporting children during activities and encouraging participation
● Helping with snacks, resources and general coordination
● Assisting staff with feedback collection and attendance
● Promoting a friendly, inclusive and safe atmosphere throughout the day
Skills and qualities we are looking for
● Friendly, patient and approachable attitude
● Enjoyment of working with children
● Good teamwork and communication skills
● Reliable, flexible and positive approach
● Awareness of safeguarding and willingness to follow guidance
● Creativity or enthusiasm for games, crafts or active play

Essential information
● Flexible volunteering during school holiday periods
