Description of role: Help bring Hanukkah to life for primary school students! Medlock Primary School is looking for University of Manchester students to deliver a short talk about Hanukkah. This is a great opportunity to introduce them to the Jewish faith, traditions, and cultural practices in an engaging way! This session will be held on the 10th December, from 2-3pm.

You are welcome to share:
🕯️ Traditions and celebrations
🕍 Personal experiences of the holiday and how you celebrate it
👕 Bring in clothing, photos, or meaningful items from Jewish culture

This is a great opportunity to:

- Develop public speaking and communication skills
- Gain experience engaging with young people
- Promote cultural awareness and inclusivity

You can present alone or in a small group of 2-3 students. If applying as a group, please indicate this in your application.

Prior to the session, there will be a practise session for you to run through your presentation. Your total volunteering hours will include both preparation and presentation time, amounting to 5 hours in total.
