Organisation Description: Zero Waste Shop
Description of role: Events is one of the core teams at Want Not Waste, helping to promote the shop and Want Not Waste’s sustainability mission to students and the local community through organising sustainable events. We also organise socials for WNW volunteers.
As an events volunteer, you will be responsible for organising at least one event per semester. The events committee member will oversee and support each event, but the events team member will be responsible for planning and running the event.
Expected commitment per 2 weeks:
- 1 hour of remote work for event planning
- 1 hour of team meeting
- 1-2 hours for helping out with the event
- Being active in the events team chat
*Note: there will be times where more commitment is needed, we will never ask you to volunteer during breaks or the exam period.
