🎄Volunteer Day: Christmas Crafts at Victoria Baths🎄- Thursday 27th November

Organisation Details
University of Manchester Volunteering & Awards Team
Sub theme: Culture, Museums
Description of role: As the festive season is nearly among us, come join us at Victoria Baths to make some Christmas decorations for the venue's Festive Winter Fair. The Fair has over 50 stall holders so the building will need to be decorated with some festive crafts by some elves 🧝(or student volunteers!)
The Manchester Victoria Baths were set up in 2000 by local residents, with the aim of re-opening the Baths for public use. Victoria Baths is widely recognised as Britain's finest historic swimming pool! The main focus of our volunteering at Victoria Baths is to develop and maintain the venue as a unique visitor attraction, events space and community venue. Over 35,000 people visit the building each year so all the more reason to decorate it for these visitors. The baths offer an eclectic programme of community, public and private events; ranging from yoga festivals to art battles, festive fairs to beer conventions. There really is something for everyone.
The Festive Fair is one of the biggest events of the calendar for Victoria Baths so they need your help decorate the venue ahead of the big day. No need to be a brilliant artist or craftsperson to volunteer; just some festive enthusiasm! So come along and give it a try - festive music will be included 🎁
We will volunteer on Thursday 27th November from 10am until 1pm at Victoria Baths, Hathersage Road M13 0FE. All materials and instructions will be provided with refreshments and snacks also. However, please make sure you bring lunch with you and perhaps some jumpers as the baths can be slightly chilly at times (to fit in with the festive theme!)
Any questions please feel free to email andrea.finlay@manchester.ac.uk
See you there🧑🎄
