Organisation Description: The Society works to protect and improve the environment and amenities of Withington, Old Moat and Ladybarn in south Manchester.

The Civic Society was founded more than 30 years ago and has provided a focus for celebrating and conserving our heritage, and ensuring that the area continues to be an attractive place for residents and visitors.
Description of role: We require volunteers to help run a Christmas in Withington event in Withington Village. The event consists of a brass band playing carols and two local choirs and a drum circle performing between 5-6pm outside the Withington Library in Withington Village. The volunteers will help set up the event, steward the event and also help Father Christmas give out selection boxes to the children who attend. There will be some set-up and pack down for the event but it will all be done by 6:15pm with arrival at 4:15pm on the 5th December. We are looking at volunteers for 2 hours please.
