Description of role: Learn Together CIC is expanding its Learn Media programme — a creative digital skills project that helps people use media and technology to express ideas, share stories, and lead positive change.
We’re looking for confident, curious, and community-minded volunteers to support the launch of the Learn Together Podcast and a new series of short news videos inspired by BBC-style reporting.
Role Overview
As a presenter or host, you’ll take part in interviews, discussions, and community features — helping plan questions, introduce topics, and engage guests in relaxed, meaningful conversations that inspire learning and connection.
You’ll also contribute to 60-second news shorts covering local, national, and international stories — concise, engaging video updates that help audiences stay informed and think critically about current events. These are modelled on professional broadcast journalism, giving you hands-on experience in real media production.
What You’ll Gain
Practical experience in presenting, podcasting, and digital media production.
Training and mentoring in communication, interviewing, research, and short-form storytelling.
The opportunity to build confidence on camera and develop your professional portfolio with published work.
A chance to be part of a friendly, inclusive project amplifying diverse voices and perspectives.
Ideal For
Anyone interested in media, journalism, communication, or community storytelling — no prior experience needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
