🌱 Volunteer Day: Help maintain the wildlife garden at St Chads🌱 - Tuesday 18th November
Organisation Details

University of Manchester Volunteering & Awards Team
Sub theme: Mental Health
Description of role: Come and help St Chad’s Church in Ladybarn prepare its beautiful wildlife garden for the addition of new fruit trees! It’s a great chance to get involved with the local community, meet new people, and enjoy some time outdoors.
What will you be doing? 🌱
For several years, we’ve partnered with St Chad’s, where groups of student volunteers have helped create a wildlife garden, community orchard, and food plots for local residents to enjoy.
This time, we’ll be helping to:
- Prepare the wildlife garden for new fruit trees and bushes
- Cut back some of the overgrown shrubbery around the front of the church
When and where? 🌱
The Volunteer Day will be from 1:30pm to 4pm on Tuesday 18th November. We will meet outside of St. Chads Church at 1:30pm.
What do I need to bring? 🌱
Refreshments will be provided. Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy. We recommend wearing waterproof layers just in case and sturdy footwear such as walking boots/wellingtons.
*If you’d like to be provided with wellies and a waterproof, please let us know in advance.*
If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch: beth.carson@manchester.ac.uk
