Organisation Description: Bluesci Support have provided community based mental health and wellbeing services in Trafford since 2004 from four locations in Old Trafford, Sale, Partington and Timperley. We work in a solution-focused, trauma-informed and collaborative way with individuals to empower them to create positive change in their life with support from the community.

Bluesci offer a number of services including social prescribing, talking therapies and an out of hours crisis service. Our centres host a number of free activities and workshops for people to join to socialise and develop new skills. Volunteers are at the heart of our work and help in many ways within the service.

Do you want to make a real difference in your community? Join Bluesci as a Digital Champion and help others build the confidence and skills they need to thrive in the digital world. No tech expertise required – just a willingness to help!

Main tasks:

Provide IT support - you’ll empower people with essential digital skills and confidence, opening doors to better opportunities and a more connected future. A Digital Champion is someone who supports others in learning how to use digital devices and services. As a volunteer, you’ll help people in our Partington centre with things like:
Using smartphones, tablets, or computers
Accessing online services (e.g. GP appointments, job applications)
Staying safe online
Building confidence with everyday digital tasks
Role requirements:
You don’t need to be a tech whiz! We’re looking for people who have:
• Basic digital skills
• Patience, enthusiasm, and good communication
• Confidence in sharing what you know
• A genuine desire to help others improve their lives through digital skills

The 255 bus takes you near to our Partington Centre from Manchester City Centre.
