Organisation Description: White Rose is a registered UK charity, trading through our chain of handpicked pre-loved fashion retail stores. We were founded in 2010 by Nottingham Trent University students to support the work of the Aegis Trust. Aegis are a UK registered charity, who aims to prevent and resolve hate and violence through peace education programmes in communities affected worldwide.
At White Rose we actively encourage volunteers from all backgrounds as we support Aegis in their mission to prevent discrimination and hate that leads to mass atrocities.

White Rose is a registered UK charity operating a chain of handpicked pre-loved fashion retail stores. Founded in 2010 by Nottingham Trent University students, our mission is to support the work of the Aegis Trust—a UK charity dedicated to preventing and resolving hate and violence through peace education programmes in communities worldwide.
We proudly support Aegis by selling high-quality, pre-loved fashion and accessories across our stores in Nottinghamshire, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Derby, and Leicester. At White Rose, we actively welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, united in our commitment to combat discrimination and hate that can lead to mass atrocities.
How You Can Get Involved
Volunteering at White Rose is a diverse, exciting, and fulfilling experience. No two shifts are the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
You don’t need prior experience—just enthusiasm, motivation, and a willingness to learn or share your talents to support our cause. We provide a full induction and ongoing training to help you feel confident and thrive in your role, equipping you with transferable skills for your future journey and career.
Typical Volunteer Tasks
- Serving customers and handling payments
- Delivering excellent customer service and engaging with the public in-store and via social media
- Sorting donated items and organising deliveries
- Creating eye-catching window and in-store displays
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised shop environment
