Description of role: Make a real difference in the lives of residents by helping create a positive, inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Role Purpose
As a Waythrough volunteer, you’ll contribute your time, skills, and enthusiasm to enhance services and activities for residents. You’ll help individuals choose and engage in new activities—building confidence, connection, and community along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide social, emotional, and practical support to residents
- Assist in planning and running activities, workshops, and events
- Support staff with daily tasks and outreach efforts
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all service users
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety policies
- Share feedback to help improve the volunteer programme
