Description of role: About St Ann’s Hospice
St Ann’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for people affected by life limiting illnesses across Greater Manchester. For over 50 years, we have relied on the generosity of our supporters and volunteers to continue delivering this vital service.
Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic student volunteers to get involved in fundraising for St Ann’s Hospice. This is a varied and flexible role where you could take part in bucket collections, help out at local events, or even run your own activity such as a bake sale. The commitment is light and can fit around your studies and social life.
Key Responsibilities
-Take part in bucket collections or other community fundraising activities
-Organise your own fundraising ideas such as bake sales or quiz nights
-Encourage friends and fellow students to get involved
-Represent St Ann’s Hospice in a positive and friendly way
Skills and Experience
No prior experience is needed. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and provide support along the way. The following qualities would be helpful:
-Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
-Good communication and willingness to engage with others
-Reliability and the ability to manage your own time
-An interest in fundraising and helping a local charity
Time Commitment
This role is very flexible and can be done at a time that suits you. Whether you have a couple of hours free for a collection or want to take on your own project, every contribution makes a difference.
