Description of role: We are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteer ESOL teachers to support learners in improving their English language skills. You will help non-native speakers develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities, enabling them to gain confidence, integrate into the community, and access employment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons for adult learners at beginner and intermediate levels
Create a friendly, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Adapt teaching methods to suit the diverse needs of learners
Support learners’ progress through regular feedback and encouragement
Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure high-quality delivery
Skills & Experience:
Experience in teaching ESOL, EFL, or similar (TEFL/TESOL qualification desirable but not essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
Ability to plan and deliver interactive lessons
Commitment to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds
