Take a Break- gardening at Whitworth Park- 28th May

Organisation Details

University of Manchester Volunteering & Awards Team

Sub theme: Health and Wellbeing
Description of role: Take a break from exams and join us in Whitworth Park 12-3pm on Wednesday 28th May for an afternoon of mindful gardening!

We will be working with a local community group to make sure the flower beds in the park are in top shape by keeping on top of the weeds, and encouraging the growth of a whole range of plants.

This is a great opportunity to get outside and boost your endorphins, all whilst giving back to the community.

Key Info:
- We will be meeting at the Denmark Road entrance to the park at 11:50am onwards. The address is 12 Denmark Rd, Manchester M15 6GQ ( this will take you to Sanctuary Student homes but we will be meeting opposite this building)
- Please dress appropriately for the weather e.g waterproof coat
- We will be getting muddy when we weed the plant beds, so please wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty!

If you have any questions beforehand, please email katie.leach-2@manchester.ac.uk
