Organisation Description: The Society works to protect and improve the environment and amenities of Withington, Old Moat and Ladybarn in south Manchester.
The Civic Society was founded more than 30 years ago and has provided a focus for celebrating and conserving our heritage, and ensuring that the area continues to be an attractive place for residents and visitors.

Description of role: The Withy Weekender is a series of events over Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May to mark the completion and opening of new public realm and square in Withington on Copson Street and outside the Library. During the weekend, there will be a street party, live music, activities for children and older people and other community events - we are looking for volunteers to help with stewarding during the event, and help with general pack up and take down too on Saturday and Sunday, whenever people are available.
