Organisation Description: We are an emergency food charity which provides hot meals and dry food bags to those in most need. We believe that every human being has the right to basic food and this should not be dependent on them having money. We provide simple, free, vegetarian, nourishing hot food and emergency food parcels to people in Manchester. We never ask any questions, make any judgement or charge for any of our services.
We are an emergency food charity. Therefore, we are open for same day food collection 7 days a week and aim to deliver hot meals and/or dry bags within 24 hours of receiving a request.

Description of role: As a call handler, you will receive emergency food requests from our clients for collection or delivery, and forward this request to our other volunteers so that they can provide them with the food they need.

Each main session lasts 4 hours and can be done remotely. Time: 9 am-1 pm; 1-5 pm; 5-9 pm, Monday to Sunday.
