Time: 11 am - 1 pm
We Need Your Help! Pack Compassion into Winter Warmer Bags which will go out to older residents in the Withington, Old Moat and Fallowfield neighbourhood to help them keep warm and well over the winter period. Bags will contain hats, scarfs, socks, gloves, flasks, information about local support services along with a handmade card written by a local primary school child.
Your task on the day will be to join our bag packing party and put information into the bags which will then be distributed to older people through GP practices, Home Nursing Teams, The Library (Books to Go Service) and our community partners. Your efforts will help to support our older population to combat the effects of winter weather and the cost of living crisis and will make a big impact on peoples lives.
This is going to be a Christmassy session with refreshments and endless Christmas tunes! So, don't forget to bring the holiday spirit and wear something festive.
