Description of role: Europia is seeking a dedicated Ukrainian-speaking volunteer to support displaced Ukrainians during our weekly drop-in sessions, held every Monday from 2 to 6 pm at Manchester Central Library. These sessions provide essential assistance as clients transition to electronic documentation under a Home Office grant.
Role Responsibilities:
- Greet and meet with Ukrainian clients attending the drop-in sessions
- Record client details and identify any issues they may have
- Verify if clients have UKVI accounts and assist in setting up accounts if needed
- Support clients in linking their e-visas and generating share codes
- Provide guidance on navigating UK government resources (gov.uk) for official information
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Fluent in both Ukrainian and English, with confidence in reading and interpreting official government information
- Strong digital literacy skills, comfortable guiding clients through online processes
- Friendly, approachable, and compassionate towards individuals experiencing resettlement challenges
Training Provided: Full training will be provided to ensure you are fully prepared to support clients effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of displaced Ukrainians and to gain hands-on experience in community support and immigration assistance.
