Europia is a community development organisation established in 2008. Our friendly multi-lingual team are committed to supporting and empowering Eastern European nationals in Greater Manchester. We also work with regional and national partners and in doing this, we have national recognition.
Through our practical community and well-being projects, advice and legal sessions, we aim to support people across the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester to feel at home; connect them with their local communities; and give them the knowledge and skills they need to make their hopes and dreams a reality.

Europia offers services ranging from legal advice, benefits advice, EUSS application assistance and Emergency Funds for the most vulnerable in our communities. Europia also organises community development and wellbeing groups such as the Europia Art Collective, the Europia Roma Project and the Europia Women’s Group.
Through our practical community and well-being projects, advice and legal sessions we make people feel at home, connect them with their local communities and give them the knowledge and skills they need to make their hopes and dreams a reality. We are looking for a dedicated Communications Volunteer to join our team at Europia. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping our external communication efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for design, writing, and storytelling, and it offers a chance to contribute to a charity that supports the European diaspora in the UK.
As a Communications Volunteer, you will:
-Work on Europia’s monthly newsletter using Mailchimp, crafting engaging content to update our supporters on the latest developments, events, and opportunities.
-Design posts for social media, ensuring consistency with Europia’s brand while making our message stand out across platforms.
-Proofread and design Europia’s Annual Report, collaborating with our team to ensure it is clear, professional, and visually appealing.
We are looking for a volunteer who is:
-Proficient in using Mailchimp, or is eager to learn to use the platform as training can be provided.
-Experienced in or passionate about social media design (experience with Canva or similar platforms is a plus).
-Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills.
-Creative, proactive, and enjoys working in a team environment.
