Description of role: The main aim of this project is to deliver educational sessions that promote good oral health behaviours to primary school students in Key Stage 1. It also gives you, the volunteer, an opportunity to experience interacting with younger children whilst building on communication skills.

Your role involves carrying out talks and activities to the children based on oral health, visiting the dentist and healthy eating. This will include setting up and leading small group activities. You will rotate through several stations in the course of a session, allowing you to get involved with a variety of tasks.

Transport will be provided. However, having a car is an added bonus! Petrol money can be reimbursed.

You will receive appropriate training and information regarding the project and the sessions, which will all be delivered to you by the MPDSS committee.
