Volunteer in Morocco!
Join us on the Atlas Outreach Programme, where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a remote community nestled in the Atlas Mountains. Contribute to education, infrastructure, agriculture, and women’s empowerment while experiencing the rich culture of Morocco.
Volunteer roles
• Summer School
During the summer months, volunteers will run a Summer School for local children eager to enhance their English skills and engage in enjoyable educational activities. The focus of these summer clubs will adapt to the students' needs, from basic English and IT support to introducing and coaching various sports.
• Community Agriculture
Play a vital role in the village’s agricultural efforts through the long lasting partnerships Travelteer make with every community they work in. Assist with fieldwork such as planting crops, ploughing land, and caring for livestock. All produce from these activities benefits local communities.
• Infrastructure
Support various infrastructure projects aimed at improving mountain communities. Key initiatives include constructing a mud brick building for the Women’s Association, digging and installing water pipelines to ensure access to running water, and aiding in the construction of new classrooms, kitchens, toilets, and facilities for disabled students in local schools.
Travelteer staff are available 24/7 to support you before and during your placement. Our online dashboard simplifies preparation, and our UK team is always ready to assist with any questions. Once on-site, our experienced local staff ensure top-quality support with their local expertise.
You can join the team from June to August, with placements ranging from 2 weeks to 12 weeks. Volunteers work approximately 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with evenings and weekends free for exploring Morocco or relaxing.
Fundraising
The fundraising requirement is £75 per week (up to a maximum of £300). 100% of these funds support Travelteer Impact, our UK registered charity, which contributes to project needs such as equipment and facilities. Any surplus funds can be reimbursed towards your flight costs.
