Organisation Details

Speak Up

Sub theme: Education, Older people, Race and Ethnicity
Stellify Award: This opportunity is part of 'Make a Difference'
Organisation Description: Speak Up is part of Student Action Volunteering and aims to empower the migrant community by offering free informal English classes in primary schools. Our sessions run for an hour each week and all materials are provided.
Description of role: Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of others? Speak Up is looking for kind and dedicated volunteers to help teach English to immigrant parents at Ladybarn Primary School on Fridays. You don’t need any prior teaching experience—just a heart for helping others! We’ll provide all the teaching materials, so it’s a simple yet rewarding way to give back to your community.

This is a highly flexible role, requiring only one hour of your time per week. You’ll have the school holidays off, and if you ever need time off, just let us know in advance. There’s no strict dress code—just dress professionally and comfortably.

If you’re someone who finds it fulfilling to help others grow, this is the perfect opportunity. You won’t just be teaching English, but also empowering others to discover their own voice. As we say at Speak Up, “Be the voice that helps find others theirs.”

Join us today and make a positive impact in your community!
