Organisation Description: Little Green Sock Project is a children's charity providing essential clothing, toiletries and equipment to families in crisis - we do this by reusing children's items donated by the local community and supporting organisations. This could be due to financial hardship or circumstances such as escaping war or domesic abuse. We work with a wide range of referral partners who refer families for support, and we support approx 100 children per month.
Description of role: We're really excited to invite a creative, dynamic, social media savvy volunteer to our team to help us raise our profile on social media and curate content to inspire our local community to support our work.
You'll be helping us create content by working with our team to taking photo's of our volunteering sessions, of bundles being prepared, and gathering content ideas, then writing engaging content for us to use in our posts, across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIN and support us in creating content for TikToc which we have not yet delved into!
You will need to have experience in taking high quality photo's and video's on a mobile phone.
Experience with Canva desirable, but we can support informal training with this.
You will be supported and provided with information on the charity and its impact to help guide content for the social media posts.
We'll regularly review progress and see which posts have had the most impact so we can develop our strategy further.
If there is an area within this role that you have a key strength over another area we'd still be keen to discuss as we may be able to offer informal training to support.
