About Intergenerational Music Making:

IMM is a music charity that brings together generations through innovative music projects, training and research to combat issues such as loneliness, ageism and lack of community cohesion.
We bring together groups such as schools, care homes, community centres through our co-created programmes and we need your help and input to grow your community.

The Project:

We are looking for volunteers to take part in a 6 week music and movement project, supported by IMM staff.

The project will be co-designed with participants, to ensure we meet the needs of the community. Full training is provided, so no previous experience necessary!

If you would like to know more about the project email me amelia.hart@manchester.ac.uk.

What sessions will look like:

Using music to connect with elderly people in the community, this maybe signing, playing games and chatting about how music impacts are own lives.

Why should I join?

This is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence and work on your leadership skills! if you're not sure if it's for you feel free to drop me an email or give me a ring. You can always pop along to a session to have a cup of tea and a biscuit to see if the project is for you.

It will count towards your hours for Stellify and after the 6 weeks if the project is successful it may continue on and you can be part of the start of a fantastic project long running project :)
