Organisation Description: Oxfam is a global organization working to end poverty. We help people build better futures for themselves, hold the powerful accountable, and save lives in disasters.
Description of role: Right by the UoM campus, Oxfam Whitworth Park is the perfect place to build a range of skills and support Oxfam through your passions and interests! As a shop volunteer, you will learn everything that goes into making our fantastic shops thrive and get stuck in wherever you'd like to help.
We have dedicated roles in fashion, books, music, homeware, and customer service. You can keep busy in the stockroom sorting, researching, and pricing donations, or be on the shop floor, helping customers and displaying our items creatively. You can even get involved in a bit of everything! Best of all you’ll be raising vital funds to support people facing poverty around the world.
We'll give you all the training and support you need so you can develop your skills as part of our team. You don’t need to have any experience – we’ve got you covered. We can even provide some travel costs too. Whatever you need, we’re here to help.
