Organisation Description: Girlguiding UK is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women, with around half a million members including about 100,000 trained volunteer adult Leaders and supporters. We are looking for volunteers to inspire girls by being them.
Description of role: Girlguiding is the UK’s largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls. As a volunteer you would be supporting one of the units in Manchester, as a Leader for Rainbows (4-7 years), Brownies (7-10 years), Guides (10-14 years) or Rangers (14-18 years).

No previous experience is required to volunteer, and Girlguiding welcomes people from all backgrounds. By volunteering, you’ll help girls to build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills. It is a great opportunity for you to meet new people and take a break from university life, as well as allowing you to develop your own leadership skills.

There are multiple units that meet close to the University of Manchester on different evenings during the week, so you can volunteer at a time that works for you. Many units are in the South Manchester area and are easily accessible on the main bus routes down Oxford Road/Wilmslow Road.
