Organisation Description: Kaya Responsible Travel are Winners of "Best Ethical Travel" award in 2023 and twice gold medal and three times silver-medal winners of "Best Volunteer Organisation" (British Youth Travel Awards), and offer a wide range of sustainable volunteer and internship placements in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Kaya gives you the opportunity to volunteer abroad, gain valuable work experience overseas, learn a language abroad or plan a structured gap year on quality, ethical projects. We work within the fields of environmental and wildlife conservation, community development, education, sports development, women's empowerment, childcare, building, micro-finance, and more.

By interning with Kaya, you can travel and experience the real world while you make a meaningful impact on an organization, community or environment. We cater to groups of friends as well as individuals! We have a wide range of internships to offer so you will be sure to find something that's of interest to you. These include:
•Arts – spark your creativity and inspiration by volunteering in the creative arts, film and photography, or music and dance projects - all whilst living in the heart of a close-knit community.
•Business – as a business volunteer, you could share your business savvy with NGO’s and small businesses on projects focused in the areas of finance, marketing, PR or fundraising.
•Community - if you have the spirit, let's hear it! If you want to get your hands dirty by building, share your sports wizardry through sports coaching, or empower women living in challenging communities then step this way.
•Conservation - eco-warriors and animal lovers, it's our time to shine - your planet needs you! We offer a wide range of projects that work on wildlife research and rehabilitation, re-forestation, habitat development and loads more.
•Education - as an education volunteer, you can contribute to the global goal of providing education access to ALL by inspiring and encouraging others through learning.
•Healthcare - considering a career in healthcare? Let us help you get a foot in the door. You will be able to participate in ethically rewarding placements where you will learn and immerse yourself in a different healthcare system, as well as being a much needed spare pair of hands for staff within the communities where we work.
Internships are self-funded but all project fees include: Accommodation, airport pick-up and drop-off, some or all of your meals, orientation and 24h support for the entire time you are in-country.
